COURSE OBJECTIVE
At the conclusion of this course delegates will have been provided with: An understanding of the concept of quality and the historical evolution thereof, An understanding of the philosophy behind the modern approaches to quality management, An understanding of the basic quality concepts and vocabulary, A review and examination of the ISO 9001:2000 requirements, An understanding of the potential benefits of implementation of ISO 9000, A brief introduction to the concept of Total Quality Management This course is designed for all levels of management and those whose responsibility it is to implement new systems or maintain existing systems; and whom have had limited exposure to the Quality Management and ISO9000

COURSE CONTENTS
An introduction to the concept of quality, its historical evolution,. Introduction of basic concepts and terminology associated with quality management, Introduction to the benefits that may be achieved through implementation of ISO 9000, Explanation of quality costs, Detailed review and interpretation of the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, Effective approach to the implementation project, An introduction to the concept of Total Quality Management.
SUGGESTED PRE-REQUISITES
Familiarity with the structure and requirements of ISO 9001:1994 would be benefiticial. Lack of this will not be detrimental to those attending the course.
COURSE ACCOMODATIONS
This is a one-day course, starting at 8.30 and finishing at 17.00 with a one-hour lunch break. Course registration commences at 8.00. For those who require accommodation, Bureau Veritas has negotiated corporate rates for most training venues associated with a hotel.
